Innovation Toolkit

This toolkit may be full of some terms you are unfamiliar with.

For clarity, below are some definitions to help you follow along the process.


Audience
- The group of people who will use or benefit from the thing you are developing

Brief - The challenge you are trying to solve

Idea Generation - the process of coming up with ideas and solutions

Insight Collection -  the process of finding out what your audience want and need

Idea Validation - the process of testing whether your idea might work

Hypothesis - a sensible guess that you need to test and validate

Insight - a hidden or unrecognised fact about what your audience does, wants and needs, that can be generalised across the audience

Innovation - see ‘What is Innovation?’ page… in short, it is the process of improving or enhancing something that exists or creating something new

Opportunity - an area with the potential to increase your impact or income; an opportunity combines an underserved audience, a gap in the market, and an organisational asset or capability

Pipeline - the plan and timeline for managing multiple innovation projects

Stakeholder - Someone with relevant experience or expertise to this project.
