What is it

A simple template for evaluating and scoring each idea against strategic criteria. This allows you to compare ideas and determine which is most likely to meet the objectives of the project. You should take the winning 1-3 ideas forward to validation and discount the rest.

When to use it

When you have a range of different ideas on the table and want to filter out the no-goes and decide which have the most potential. This calculator can be used at any time during the idea generation process. It can be used early on to go from a long-list of possible ideas to a shortlist to stretch and build out in more detail. Or it can be used later on when you have more fully-formed ideas and want to decide which to take to testing and validation.
